This won't be a particularly formal wedding - we want to make it as relaxed as possible. We mainly want to focus on spending time with you all and celebrating, rather than formal ceremony.
What should I wear?
Feel free to dress semi-formal or casual. The weather could be quite hot in late January, and we'll be spending a bit of time both indoors and outdoors - including on the beach. Wear an outfit and shoes that you'll be comfortable in - but feel free to take the opportunity to dress up!
What will be eating, and when?
We recommend eating lunch before you arrive for the ceremony. Some drinks will be served after the ceremony itself, and then we'll provide dinner and drinks back at the hall at the reception. Dinner will likely be a buffet-style meal. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions well in advance.
What about kids?
Unfortunately we had many more loved ones than we had space on our guest list, so we won’t have room for little ones, with the exception of our nieces and nephews. They’re absolutely welcome to come to the barbecue on Sunday though - we'd love to see them there.
Do you have a gift registry?
We do not. We're thrilled that so many of you are eager to come and celebrate with us, and that's a gift enough in itself.
If you do want to get us something, we're hoping to have a honeymoon at some point in the middle of 2025. If you'd like to make a small contribution towards that, we can send you some details.
Anything else?
One other thing - we'd love it if you could please bring a favourite recipe to share with us on an A4 piece of paper. Our plan is to compile these pages into a book as a special keepsake for ourselves, and we'll send everyone a digital copy afterwards as a memento of the occasion. If you want to tell us why the recipe is special, we'd love that, but equally, feel free to share a recipe you discovered by googling 'late night recipes using chickpeas and frozen vegetables'.
